⭐50 YEARS SERVICE⭐
On Tuesday evening, we gathered at Newton Wallacetown Church Halls to celebrate the incredible dedication and tireless efforts of Janis Meredith 👏🏻
Janis started ger guiding journey as a leader with the 14th Kirkcaldy Guides, later joining the 138th City of Edinburgh unit. Janis later became part of 2nd Ayr Guides in 1986, and has supported hundred of girls and leaders in Ayrshire South County ever since!
As well as a passionate Unit Guider, Janis has held many roles at District and County Level including District Commissioner, Mentor, County Commissioner, Camp Adviser, Growth Coordinator and also County Treasurer – which she still does today – with amazing efficiency!
Janis has also given countless hours of service to the maintenance of our county campsite – Nether Auchendrane – and serves as Chairperson of the site’s committee.
Janis is always the first to offer her help at events, residentials and camps.
Janis’s Guides, the Rainbows and Brownies, her fellow Leaders, Guiding friends, the county team, and many former Guides gathered this Tuesday to say a heartfelt thank you for an incredible 50 years service!
