This Friday, leaders from across South Ayrshire gathered for a celebration night at the Carlton Hotel, where we looked back on the amazing six year term of outgoing County Commissioner Fiona, and Assistant County Commissioners Jackie and Marion! 🎉
Together we looked back on the events, achievements and trips of the last 6 years – sharing anecdotes and heartfelt messages of gratitude for the positive impact that the trio have made to the county during their term! The serious part of the evening ended with a big surprise for outgoing County Commissioner Fiona, as she was presented with the Scottish Chief Commissioner’s Award – the best kept secret in Girlguiding this year! 🎖️
The outgoing team’s husbands were also presented with an award each in gratitude of putting up with all the commitments and sacrifices that go along with being a county commissioner, thanks go to Tom, Jim and Richard 👏🏻
Our new County Commissioner team; Elin, Sharon and Linsey are now officially in post and are very excited to get started, albeit a little nervous! 🥰
New Assistant CC Sharon was also presented with a Good Service Award for the incredible work she did this summer – piloting a ‘Summer Club’ every Thursday of the holidays at our county campsite, Nether Auchendrane. Each themed week was a great success and testament to Sharon and the Summer Camp team’s ideas and enthusiasm! 👏🏻
